Commercial & Community Facilities

MHANY's commercial portfolio includes over 75,000 square feet of production, light industrial, retail and community facility space throughout New York City.

The Peninsula Building 1A, MHANY's flagship light industrial building, is designed to connect the historically industrial and residential neighborhood of Hunts Point in The Bronx. The state-of-the-art building, part of a vibrant mixed-use campus, will create economic opportunities for small light industrial businesses to establish themselves and provide retail activity along neighborhood street fronts. It will also help provide employment, living wages, and training and skill development for local residents.

In East New York, Brooklyn, one of MHANY's newest buildings, Chestnut Commons Apartments, will include over 33,000 square feet of community facility space, the headquarters for Cypress Hill Local Development Corporation, and approximately 6,000 square feet of retail space that will house a local credit union, pharmacy, and grocer.

At 1921 Cortelyou Road in Flatbush, Brooklyn, MHANY collaborated with Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) to provide on-site support to formerly homeless youth between the ages of 18-24 as well as the Baptist Church of the Redeemer to create a new home for the church at its original location.

700 Manida Street has approximately 4000 square feet of community facility space.  It will be home to Bronx based arts organizations.

And in buildings throughout the city, MHANY's commercial tenants include small local restaurants, grocers, a furniture company, a dance studio and a community youth organizations.
